190827–Yosemite Highlights!

After spending the weekend in Yosemite with my 15-year-old son and his friend, it really dawned on me that I haven’t emphasized spending time in nature enough on this website. Being ‘free’ to explore in the wilderness and have experiences in nature is so vital for all aspects of life. To find the time in your life to visit parks or other aspects of nature and just ‘play’ is worth more than anything you can accomplish in the gym or in an office.

Below are just a few of my favorite shots, but I’ve posted all the photos here. The combination of sun, water, and hiking allowed me to put up my best sleep scores in months without any hacks, and I felt incredibly refreshed. Having two youths around to experience this with certainly didn’t hurt either!

I have a bunch of formal website updates to make and hope to get to them soon. Thank you all for the great feedback so far; I can’t say enough about how meaningful the e-mails have been since the launch last week

We swam in about 12 different bodies of water during the weekend, but Tenaya Lake was definitely our favorite
Rainbow falls was technically in Mammoth, on the east side of Yosemite, but tough to beat this for refreshment and beauty!
I performed my share of handstands, but the best view was in front of Cloud’s Rest (to the left–the hike I did on my last visit) and half dome (to the right–the hike I plan on doing for my next visit)
We played a lot of panorama tricks, getting into the photos multiple times. This required a short sprint around the camera in between handstands
Anthony may have me on height now, but I’ve still got him on bicep size…
