I decided to launch this website after so many requests for workout, diet, or just general health advice over the years. I wanted a central place where I could accumulate my resources and recommendations. Although I still love to give personalized advice and talk through it, I can’t remember everything all the time, so to amass the knowledge I’ve gained (mostly through self-education and self-experimentations) in one location would be helpful as a link for reference and also for my future self. Please bookmark this and consider it a “living document”, as information always changes so I will add resources, edit, and update over time.
I’ve tried my best to not opine any more than necessary, nor make this about what I do or what works best for me. Rather to create a site to be a resource for those interested in improving at least some aspect of their mental and physical health but may not have the time nor inclination to do all the research. I intend to keep this as ‘short and sweet’ as possible in the interest of simplicity (for the absolute shortest advice, go here). However, please recognize that there is so much nuance to all of this, and the last thing I want is to create media-like simplifications without context, so please bear with my digressions and opportunistic breaks into deeper information. And of course there are exceptions to everything so I’ve tried to not paint anything with very broad strokes. Given any success or positive feedback I will build this bigger and I will ‘go deeper’ on many of these topics.
Organization: I’ve organized this webpage into four main categories. As I continue to build on it and add things such as workout videos, recipe pages, or something else that crops up as a good idea, I believe everything can be classified as a subtopic under these four. The categories (which are completely inter-related and should not be viewed as silos) and their links are:
You’ll notice that I have tried my best to not make this about me, or what works for me alone, but point you to a lot of other places to get ideas and create the best version of yourself. I’m a strong believer in personalization of nearly everything, because we are different in nature and/or nurture, genetics and/or environment, etc. Finally, I have tons of references for everything here. In the interest of not overloading people with information (one of my goals here is to keep it simple for those who aren’t as interested in doing the research as I am), I’m keeping the references and background reads to a minimum, but contact me if you want to dig deeper into literally any sentence I’ve written. I’ve mostly referenced podcasts because they are easily accessible, can be listened to or (in some cases) read, and they are free (for now).
To expand on that last thought about contacting me, please reach out to me via e-mail if you have any questions or want more information or have ideas on how I could add to this website or make it more useful. I have no idea who this will reach since I’m not at all into social media, self-promotion, or any of the types of things that seem to be necessary to ‘go viral’.

Thank you to my beloved friends and family who helped me.

Dear Greg: Good Morning! Thank you for selecting me for the coveted “Blue Headband AWARD” this morning in you SAT. Spinning Class at Fit Factory-K. It is with great pleasure that I accept. It came as quite a surprise and happy to know you are paying attention to your students. You are respected for your professional and personal knowledge, along with a great attitude. You make the class interesting and physically rewarding by keeping the class moving with your comments. Your thoughtfulness in acknowledging me is very much appreciated.
Sincerely, Jeannette
P.S.: It is not what you make, but what you give!
Thanks so much for the kind words Jeannette! You’ve earned that ‘hero of the day’ headband and it was my pleasure giving. Great quote too; I’ll have to add it to my quote board soon!
