I’d like to thank my family, friends, and colleagues who helped me build this, whether through input over the years or feedback on my first draft, especially:
- My wife Beth, who has been my sounding board and life’s partner for over two decades, especially when it comes to raising the two rascals listed on the next line, and who keeps me grounded and well-rounded.
- My two teenage children, who constantly remind me of life’s full potential and the human body’s capabilities.
- My parents, who in hindsight were my childhood heroes and biggest influence making me who I am—my father especially for my professional life and my mother for my passion of health and fitness.
- My cousin Rich, who was the first to introduce me to a lot of the sources from which I continue to build my knowledge base.
- My brother Paul, who likes to be late to the party, but always comes around with thoughtful contributions. And for the grammar fixes…
- My Aunt Cynthia, who always helps inspire the mental and spiritual sides of fitness that don’t come as naturally to me.
- My Aunt Linda, who will always provide unfiltered and honest feedback with a sense of humor and unconditional support.
- Max M, my best friend and a whole lot more…let’s just say if we were gay we’d probably be married.
- Damian H, my dear friend, colleague, and adventure partner, whom I can always call both a mentee and mentor
- Kim A, an inspiring thought-partner, recipe sharer, and fellow scientist.
- Young-Ho S, the person outside my family from whom I’ve learned the most about life, not to mention science.
- Foles, one of my few elder workout partners and one of my fitness idols and mentors through the years
- Michael L, the first colleague I dared work out with and who always humbled me on long runs and push-up pyramids (“I’m a pull-up guy!”)
- Elizabeth I, an inspirational leader and thought-partner who has the greatest understanding of ‘the scientific method’ and applying it to health.
- Danielle F, who has shown me how to diversify my handstand repertoire and balance my workouts with some yoga moves.
- Patrick E, who is always ready for a discussion on any of these health topics and has great perspectives and experiences on life.
- Mike C, for his excellent graphic design advice.
- Maria M, for always ‘lending’ Max and putting up with our routines, as well as sound advice on design, language, and soliciting input
- Daniela M, for sharing the excitement of life’s fulfillment helping others through health and convincing me to drop ‘K.I.S.S’
- Xiaoyan Z, for always being someone I could count on for complete honesty and transparency at work and in life, and being the hardest working ‘behind the scenes’ scientist I know.
- Nelson V, the best security guard ever and who ALWAYS has a good 1-line quote to share.
Congratulations, Greg, on your commitment to inspiring healthy, authentic and compassionate life journeys.
May our commitment to ourselves, our communities, our nation and the world foster peace, justice, equality and righteousness.
Peace everyone…..and please VOTE!
